The construction process for the store encompassed a much broader area than just the building and its immediate surroundings – it involved the reconstruction of three intersections on Melnsila street, the construction of pedestrian sidewalks, and the reconstruction of roadways, enhancing traffic safety. The architectural design of the store was specifically created to integrate seamlessly into the surrounding Āgenskalns area. The metropolis concept store is built on two floors, with some parking spaces located underneath the building. The store itself covers an area of 4,600 m², with a spacious and bright sales area of almost 1,500 m². The parking lot in the adjacent inner courtyard creates the feel of a spacious and lushly landscaped courtyard, featuring a sports and playground area of over 100 m². For the convenience of cyclists, bike racks have been installed at the store. Overall, the BLV Advisory Group team has provided construction supervision for half of all Lidl stores opened in Latvia, ensuring high construction quality for the network in Riga, Jūrmala, Daugavpils, Valmiera, Cēsis, Jelgava, Salaspils, and Tukums (a total of 15 store projects).
