As part of the reconstruction, a unique facade design has been created. The cornices and facade lamellas are finished with dolomite from the Karma quarry on Saaremaa Island. The different angles of the lamellas create a dynamic architectural composition. This is the first project in the Baltics where massive stone elements with 3D-cut surfaces have been used in the facade design.
The interior concept has been designed as an open and publicly accessible space, combining diplomatic functions with cultural activities. Materials and furniture produced in Estonia, as well as artworks by Estonian artists, are used in the interior, highlighting the country’s identity and design culture.
